Mommy blogger sex diary

This week's sex diary (I'm the editor): "The Single Mommy Blogger Having Sex on Office Tabletops".

Enjoy! And if you want to write an anonymous sex diary for Daily Intel or know someone who'd be a good candidate, contact me at sexdiaries at nymag.com and tell me why you'd be a good one (or pass on the link above).

I heart Girl's Gone Child

I've said it probably many, many times, here and elsewhere, but I really love Rebecca Woolf's blog Girl's Gone Child. The content, of course, but also the design; it's so stunning, and what I'd want my blog(s) to look like if I could ever afford to spruce them up (not a complaint, I don't have the time right now to contemplate cleaning my living room, let alone my blogs). But still, it's a visual treat and I think I'm going to get 4 days in LA in January/February and am gonna make it a priority to see Rebecca after...way too long. Last trip was fun but also madness; this next trip, in between work stuff, I want to hang out with my favorite moms.

Heather B. Armstrong's memoir cover and Momversation.com

Cover of Heather B. Armstrong of Dooce's memoir

I'm loving this cover of Heather B. Armstrong's memoir It Sucked and Then I Cried: How I Had a Baby, a Breakdown, and a Much Needed Margarita. Very Subversive Cross Stitch.

She's also part of the new online show Momversation with lots of awesome ladies, including Rebecca Woolf, author of the memoir Rockabye and the blog Girl's Gone Child.

Dooce's memoir title

It Sucked and Then I Cried: How I Had a Baby, a Breakdown, and a Much Needed Margarita by Heather B. Armstrong of Dooce (and yesterday's New York Times) fame comes out March 24, 2009 from Simon Spotlight Entertainment.

She mentioned it on her blog:

However. I have another enormous deadline looming over me right now, the one where I'm supposed to turn in the final pages of my manuscript to my editor (hi, Patrick!) at Simon and Schuster. It's sort of a memoir about my pregnancy and postpartum experience with Leta, and it's only one paragraph long. It goes: "It sucked and then I cried. The end." My editor thinks I should elaborate a little bit. He's so picky.
