Flowers BWE of the Year Volume 3
Best Women's Erotica of the Year, Volume 3 delivers the kind of sexy stories you want most: daring, bold, and surprising tales of women who pursue their boundless passions anywhere and everywhere. Edited by Rachel Kramer Bussel, winner of multiple Independent Publishing Book Awards, these scintillating scenarios turn the tables on how women are "supposed" to behave. Instead, these uninhibited vixens indulge in their favorite fetishes, do deliciously intimate "Body Shots," and get tied up with "Red Satin Ribbons." They pose nude, dress up, and roleplay, always obeying their most exhilarating impulses. These lusty ladies take your most cherished, private fantasies—from making a sex tape, to taking part in a thrilling threesome, to having a stud delivered to your door hot and ready—and make them come alive. Written by beloved authors Abigail Barnette, Annabel Joseph, and Charlotte Stein along with several genre newcomers, these are erotic encounters you'll want to savor again and again and again...

Act fast: Best Bondage Erotica 2014 is only $1.99! Or, I love BookBub

Short version: for the next three days, get Best Bondage Erotica 2014 for $1.99 for Kindle, Nook, Google Play, iBooks and Kobo. Sale ends Sunday, December 4, 2016.

Long version: Sadly, sometimes books I love just as much as my other ones don't quite reach their intended audience. But the cool thing is that other times, they get put on sale and through the magic that is BookBub, a site that shares books sale news with its followers, which I truly consider magical, they get catapulted back into the world at a huge discount, $1.99, and instantly, tons of new people discover them. I don't know how the behind the scenes works over at BookBub, but I am beyond grateful when my books go on sale there, because it means that new readers get to discover them, and I never have to feel like my Cleis Press books are dead. I've worked with numerous publishers in my career, some before the ubiquity of ebooks, and those are truly pretty much dead, out of print and probably never to return, so when books get a second chance, I am truly glad.

I've been thinking a lot lately about my labor and worth and value about where I want to go next with my life and career, and knowing that my books will continue on in five, ten, fifteen, etc., years, gives me more reason to keep on brainstorming new anthologies. If you want to now the minute my books go on sale, follow me on BookBub. The other great thing about them is that you can subscribe to your other favorite authors if they participate and also by category so if you're into erotic romance, you can get new ones for free and cheap every single day.

I don't know about you, but I often have a short attention span, which is probably why I love editing anthologies so much. So sometimes I get a book and realize a few pages in it's not my cup of tea. BookBub sales let you sample new authors cheaply and sometimes for no cost, which I think is pretty awesome. And as someone who still makes a large portion of my living from book sales, I am thrilled to have these older books, which bookstores probably won't stock because they want the hottest, newest, shiniest titles on their shelves, get to have a second life and help me pay my rent. One reason why I enjoy and am honored to be working with Cleis Press is that with the exception of one book, Crossdressing and the two that were e-book only, all the rest are still in print. That matters to me, even if the wave of the future is not with print erotica. The reality is, about 80-90% of readers read my books in ebook or listen in audiobook. I personally tend to buy print because it's easier on my eyes but I want my books to be accessible whatever form people want to read them in. I also want them to be available to people who may not have $15.95 to spend on a book, but might have the equivalent of a cup of coffee. As a consumer, I try to balance what I can afford with my print preference, but seeing ebooks I want to read for such bargain prices often sways me. So long story short, if you missed this book when it first came out or want to give it to someone as a gift, get it on sale now. The next one up for sale will be Come Again: Sex Toy Erotica on December 13th, which I'm also thrilled about because that's one of my favorite books I've edited with, I believe, the most variety (I made sure each sex toy was different).

Happy kinky New Year: Best Bondage Erotica 2014 is out now, and more sexy reading

photo.JPG
I'm so vain I started the new year with a new book selfie (actually more excited about this gorgeous kinky book)

What a way to start the new year: Best Bondage Erotica 2014, the 4th in my annual series for Cleis Press, just came out and I'm so thrilled with how beautiful the cover is and how hot the stories are. I'm also reading submissions for Best Bondage Erotica 2015 (deadline is March 1st, so get writing!). This one is especially exciting because I'm publishing many of these esteemed authors for the first time, including ones like Annabel Joseph, who already have readers clamoring for their next sexy book. Here's what reviewers are saying:

The Frisky Fairy has excerpts from "Roping the Cowboy" by Teresa Noelle Roberts, "Tart Cherry" by Kathleen Delaney-Adams and "The Neckcloth" by Annabel Joseph, and wrote:
There are not enough words in the English language to tell you how much I loved this book. I was able to find new and exciting stories that turned me on, and that is a rarity. The language and content were able to thrill me on multiple levels, and I really feel that this book has enough content for everyone that it would be hard to be disappointed. I was incredibly impressed with the diversity across the pages, as I feel there is not enough diversity in erotica and many erotic anthologies. There was diversity in body types, relationship types, gender roles, sex, gender, and gender presentation. The bondage itself ranged from beginner to advanced, but the stories still displayed the same feeling of intimacy in all the various types of relationships.
We Love Kink gave it 5 love taps and wrote in part:
I did not realize just how many ways there were to tie some up up. There were your basic ropes in Rope Dance a circus themed story, a funky use for a necktie in Neckcloth, some interesting usage of paper clips in Clipped, a leather chastity belt in Belted In, some very very different ways to use a simple shoelace in Pegged, ribbons in Wearing Purple and also the invisible usage of bondage in Mind Fuck.

There were plenty of toys, dildos in all shapes and sizes, spanking brushes, whips, floggers, birches, handcuffs, ropes and an innovative device that Anna is strapped down on from her arms to her legs. I loved the way that so many toys were talked about. It was new, fresh and completely different story after story. Sure there were similar themes, bondage being it, of course but the way it was achieved was always very different. In Mind Fuck, Cari has a muscle disease so she could only pretend to be tied down. And let me tell you Quinton did a great job of talking her through it. He was hot stuff.
