In Austin
Eating cupcakes from the fabulous Babycakes, loving the weather, hanging with Liza and so happy to be gone. I have no memory and almost went to JFK this morning instead of LaGuardia but somehow I made it. Also joined Twitter. Lots of photos tk.
Panel fodder for anyone who cares. Speaking of dating, I already got asked out on a date to the Alamo Drafthouse. And I think I said yes. Who knows?
Also, finally, away from the hell that is nyc, I am ready to get some writing done. Last night before Courtney's show, I challenged myself to write a 1,000 word story for an anthology I want to submit to, and I did. About a hamburger.
More on "Super Glossy!" another time, but I myself am a fan of (and want to write for, hint hint) women's magazines. That very well may never happen at the rate I'm going, but I haven't given up yet. I mean, I read tons of magazines, not necessarily uncritically, but I still loved the show. Also interesting to note that Feministing founder Jessica Valenti is profiled in the new issue of Elle by Rebecca Traister.
