I was horrified to read that Violet Blue had received an email saying:

You are a dirty, nasty little cunt whore.

May the honey bees die and you and the bastards who lick your dirty little snatch and pound your cunt endlessly die of starvation for lack of food.

I'd truly enjoy your starvation.

in response to her San Francisco Chronicle on HPV and oral sex, "Skin Flutes, Carcinoma and Chasing the Unicorn."

But now I'm even more offended and horrified by this blog post, which is all kinds of crazy:

Sex Guru Violet Blue has been having her cult followers send me all kinds of hate mail in spite of my evidence I forwarded her, that there's an ID thief who stole my e-mail address. On the day of her strategic psychological warfare, Ms. Blue posted these photos in the San Francisco Chronicle that I take as a personal threat she intends on continuing her form of virtual torture over an e-mail the average citizen receives in their SPAM inbox every day.


First off, "cult followers?" Classy. Um, readers? Supporters? People who, um, think the proper way to respond to writing you hate is to, maybe, send a letter to the editor that does not wish death on the author? Also, Violet did not "have" or "instruct" anyone to do anything. She simply reposted what she received.

It's appalling to me that she would call Violet's very understated blog post a "torture threat," but then it's also laughable because she reposts (cause, like, she owns the photo!) Violet's photo and says that she takes a photo that is part of a journalistic exploration of content in her latest column as "a personal threat." Narcissistic, much?

Also, someone personally saying they wish you'd die in such a highly specific way is not what we receive in our SPAM folders every day.

I love how she turns this around so now she is Violet's "victim," as opposed to, very likely (though possibly not if she's being impersonated), the reverse.

Lastly, "white trash bully" - again with the supreme classiness.

I don't know headers from a hole in the wall but if you ask me, the menacing, sex-negative, thoroughly dispicable, obnoxious, delusional, and narcissistic claims Merrill makes in her blog post seem to come from the mind of someone who'd call someone a "dirty, nasty little cunt whore."

I would laugh at the use of the phrase "strategic psychological warfare," except it's not really funny.
