SMITH Magazine world domination
So SMITH Magazine is rolling right along. Apparently, they have two book deals.
Memoir Smith Magazine's NOT QUITE WHAT I WAS PLANNING: And Other Six-Word Memoirs by Writers Famous and Obscure, an illustrated collection of six-word memoirs alternately humorous, sad, and strange, culled from Smith Magazine's recent online contest, to Kate Hamill at Harper (world).
January 17th (AFTER you go to In The Flesh, of course), you hould totally check out their anniversary party at Sutra. I will be there probably in my killer new dress basking in the glow of selling lots of books and squeezing into a way-crowded Happy Ending. That's the plan, anyway.
And next week look for my interview with man-about-town and SMITH Comics Editor Jahfurry, aka Jeff Newelt, on Gothamist.
