Stamps and pizza

I've been waiting for this version of the forever stamp (forever stamps are the kind that you buy at today's prices and, as the marketing goes, you can use them forever, even after prices have gone up), which in my opinion is so much better than the old ones, to come out and I finally got some today. I'd asked for "Celebrate" stamps a few weeks ago and got some other kind of celebrate stamp which was okay, but these I really like.



I tried to get in to a Something Borrowed screening last night but it was oversold. My friend and I got pizza instead at this place on 4th Avenue, Pie, where you can order by the inch and therefore sample a bunch of different very thin-crust, yummy pizzas. And they have gluten-free pizza and gluten-free beer! (I have a lot of friends and family members who can't eat gluten so I notice stuff like that.)

Pasita is delicious!

Very briefly, just wanted to say how delicious the food was last night at Pasita, where I dined and chatted courtesy of co-owner and awesome writer Nancy Balbirer, who read at In The Flesh (video TK) this month and whose book Take Your Shirt Off and Cry I highly recommend. The food was amazing and I can't wait to go back and eat some more. Oh, and at In The Flesh I learned how to pronounce "boite."




I forgot what these were called by they were these corn fritters with nata cheese - looked like sour cream, which I hate, but was delicious.


This ropa vieja pizza was my favorite. Sorry I can't be more descriptive, I'm super tired but in happy news, I got my teeth cleaned this morning, for the first time in longer than I care to admit. It didn't even hurt and I got complimented on my teeth. Have to go back for a deep cleaning, but I don't mind. I'm always so scared doctors (or anyone, really) are going to yell at or be mad at me.

Two Boots Pizza to open Upper East Side Branch

I will have more to say soon on "buzz" and branding, but suffice it to say, expect more posts about sex and also more about food. I'm embracing, somewhat reluctantly, my "sex writer/blogger" status but trying to be more of a food blogger too (not just cupcakes).

All that to say, news from Two Boots Pizza:

We're opening our new Upper East Side branch (1617 2nd Ave. @ 84th St., 212-734-0164) this Thursday, November 6th, and celebrating with a party from 6-8pm.

Please come by for free pizza, live music and a look around our cool bi-level space. Mr. Pink, Newman, the Earth Mother and all your other favorite TB pizzas will be in attendance!
