One of the very few readings I'm doing this year. Probably no more save for August 25th book party for Obsessed, Drunken! Careening! Writers November 17th and Chat Lounge December 15th, in NYC anyway. I'm talking about doing something in Las Vegas when I'm there for the Erotic Authors Association conference in September but I'll let you know. I'm really trying to wean myself off of readings because they kindof make me way too stressed and nervous at a point in my life when I am already stressed and nervous. Maybe in 2012 I can think about doing my burlesque/trivia/reading/music/film/comedy sexy event I had dreamed about, but not anytime soon.
Can you say burnt out? Um, that would be me, bigtime. It's all can do to write tiny bits of words here and there these days, which is sad to me, but I'm hoping I can get back to a more normal output - I certainly need the money, but even more, the sanity I get from writing. Without it, I turn into a girl who does not nice things to herself.
That being said, this should be a fun reading (I have a pregnancy erotica story in Lesbian Lust. Had started this crazy pot story for Lesbian Cops and never finished it - hope to someday resurrect it, if only because I love the title.)

"Bespectacled lit chicks outnumber apparatchiks in this former Ukrainian social club. The dim parlor-style bar nestled in the second floor of a walk-up has Cold War decor, cheap Baltika beer, whiskey on the rocks and free readings—all of which lure New York’s literary underground, including stars like Kathleen Warnock and Ellen Datlow
