Cheap flights from NYC to SF??

Does anyone know of any good deals, sites, or airlines to fly from NY (any of the 3 airports) to Oakland or SF? It would be for a Friday-Monday. I've been trying Expedia, Orbitz and Jetblue and the cheapest flights I'm seeing (this is 3+ weeks in advance) are $375/$400, which I could do, but would love to find something cheaper so any suggestions are greaty appreciated - rachelkb at gmail.com

I have go visit the boy so I can do things I can't on the phone, like wash his dishes.

Costa Rica is quite lovely, yesterday we saw muchos monos (photos TK) and went to the beach, it's bright and early (8 am) now and I'm off to the pool. I'd thought I had forgotten my digital camera but it was in my bag. I did manage to lose a black hoodie on the plane and forget to return a towel yesterday to the tune of $25, but I so don't even care at this point. It's truly like paradise here and the pool goes on and on and on. And I think today I will get to play Boggle. I finally bought my own set so I can play whenever I want!
